Working as Engineering Consultant to the local government DLO to manage the diversion of 12000m of utility diversions requiring constant liaison with national providers and design modifications. Diverting Scottish Water, SPEN, Openreach, SGN and Vodafone infrastructure with a holistic approach in preparation for the Main works Contract.
Continue as Assistant Project Manager to oversee the MWC with responsibility for HSE&Q, programme and provide technical support . Now secured a position on the supplier framework for next 4 years. See how things are progressing
Initially contracted for Site Engineering provision and then contracted to take over the role of Site Manager as the contract required multi utility diversions. I took up the role and was required to discuss and programme the diversion of utility providers infrastructure. Required to attend progress meetings and report back on progress and identify any blockers on the programme. Also required to develop TQs and discuss with the designer to assist with developing a solution. Developed and proposed alternative routes to maintain separation distances and ease the installation process and avoid conflicts with proposed flood defence structures. All diversion where completed successfully and the main works was progressed at pace with no conflict issues. The government project was delivered on budget and programme.
Working with the Contracts Manager supporting the site team in their position as a sub-contractor to Morrison Construction to replace outdated infrastructure. Dealing with contract paperwork between the parties and resolving technical issues on site. Required to engage with local government representatives.
